LABO. is a design and architecture firm based on research to support the business vision of the client. As the name implies, LABO. which stands for “Laboratory” promote innovation in each project undertakes. Finding balanced blend between social, economic and environment aspects, is the main philosophy to support the property development / sustainable assets concepts.
LABO. handling projects in a wide range of sectors, including urban design, masterplan, blocks, high rise, low rise, reform, interiors and products. Design projects for public buildings have established numerous and diverse from commercial facilities, offices, apartments, hospitals, museums, recreational areas, religious buildings, educational buildings, sport to industrial complex. LABO. work by integrating a variety of fields specialized scientific support architectural design field, which are green design, parametric design, structural engineering, M & E and others.
Born in April 2006, LABO. have participated and received awards for many local and international design competitions, including: 1st Prize Design Regional General Hospital in South Jakarta, AQSA Factory in Solo and New Museum of Bandung Asia-Africa Conference in Bandung; 2nd Prize for University of Indonesia Student’s Apartments in Depok; 3rd Prize for Balai Kirti Museum Bogor Palace, PPK Infrastructure Office at Kemayoran Jakarta and Holy Mosque in Padang, West Sumatra; and Special Honorable Mention Prize for the Agung Sedayu Center in Jakarta, Bank of Indonesia in Solo, BMW Park Stadium in Jakarta, and Envisioning the Future of Jakarta“, for an International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam 2009.
Several design projects has been published both in local or international media such as: [email protected], Architecture[email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], Futuarc, Indonesia Design, Indonesian Architects, 50 Indonesian Architects+ Emergings, Skala+, Laras, Rumahku, Rumah Tabloid, Building Indonesia, and others.
LABO. also initiated various programs such as Pecha Kucha Night Bandung, Heritage Culture, Bandung Public Furniture, Architecture & Business Talk, and Indonesian Architects Week @ Tokyo 2011. All it is fulfilled with the aim to build a progressive development of design and architecture.
